Air Tahiti partners with Amadeus to improve the passenger experience

At Air Tahiti, we’re proud to be the link between the islands, or “te natiraa o te mau motu” in Polynesian language. We aim to constantly offer better service and the latest technologies to our customers.

In this age of digital transformation, we are redesigning and optimizing our operations to provide our customers with the latest technology. This was a big reason why Air Tahiti adopted the Amadeus Altéa passenger service system (PSS). We want to improve the travel experience of our passengers from the point of reservation. Amadeus’ technology will empower us with an online booking engine and a web check-in system which will be easier to use and available on mobile devices. It will also be possible to modify, cancel and refund tickets online. In time, there will be new services available for frequent flyer club members too.

Altéa will also help Air Tahiti integrate with partner airlines using real-time sharing of availability, fares, and booking information to deliver a harmonized customer experience. The benefits of using the Altéa platform extend to Amadeus’ global travel seller network. These travel sellers have the unique advantage of instant visibility to any changes affecting an Altéa airline booking, meaning they can better service their customers.

We are proud to join the international community of airlines using Altéa and delighted to partner with Amadeus to offer our customers a higher level of service. This technology will enable us to carry on the tradition of the legendary Polynesian heroes by bringing both islands and people closer.
