Strong partnerships are crucial to success in the global hospitality industry and our relationship with Amadeus is a testament to this adage. Thanks to our partnership – Accor has achieved more than 1 million hotel bookings through Amadeus in 2013 (+6%) and has seen a global market share increase for the fourth consecutive year.
Not only has our global agreement contributed to this remarkable achievement – but also the strong Accor content portfolio available in Amadeus, which covers all market segments from economy to luxury accommodation.
2013 was an eventful year for us as we opened flagship Accor properties in key destinations such as Dubai and Brussels. We also began distribution of our economically friendly ibis hotel brand through Amadeus – which now boasts a content inventory of more than 100 properties with a goal of more than 500 hotels to be available this year. These events – coupled with Amadeus’ close relationships with travel agencies – are a few of the important factors contributing to our great performance.
We are proud of our global hotel partnership with Amadeus and look forward to growing with them as travel agencies, especially those focused on business travel, continue to increasingly use the Amadeus GDS.
